[s-cars] shopping for a new floor jack - any reccomendations?

Looks like the HF one is Alu, the Sears one is "Aluminized Steel", as the HF
weighs 35lbs, the Sears one weighs 55lbs. The Sears one is advertised as 1.5
ton, the HF one as 3000lbs, the Sears one is about $100, the HF one about
$180. HTH.

i didn't think there was any difference between the HF jack and the
sears jack, but i've never looked at them side by side.

i have the HF jack (bought years ago when they were $199), and it
works fine.  i don't use it very often, though.
