[s-cars] Are Beltronics detectors any good?

Gentz,

First the Audi content, I own two 93 S4's, both are equipped with
Valentine V1 radar detectors.

Now for the question, a friend of mine is awaiting delivery of a 2005
Subaru Sti and is looking into radar detectors. Right now he is reading
up on the Beltronics detectors.

Now I firmly believe in the V1, so my opinon is obviously biased.
What i am hoping is if anyone has read any reviews/tests that compare
and contrast the Beltronics and Valentine products.
