[s-cars] 1993 S4 miss firing

I have heard of problem with power stages and coils but never experience it
and based on the number of people on the s-car list that sent me replies I
think there is something of a coil failure problem. At 210k miles I have no
complaint about their reliability just the cost to replace. Starts with one
coil or a power stage and then shortly there after another fails. By the
time you replace 5 coils @ $130 each and 2 power stages @ $?? it adds up.
The late 1.8t coils have the power stage built into them an I can buy them
for $25 each.
I will start with the plugs and test the coils and inspect the wiring before
I set off on a spending spree. I'll probably even try to borrow a set of S4
coils from a friend that has a 93 S4.
Thanks
Jim
