As I was having the RS2 upgrade done (still only partway done [RS2 turbo]
due to the existing scrambler chip on the MTM 1+ set up), my wrench noticed
that a rear shock had gotten leaky so it is time to install the Koni's I got
on the last GP.  While I have the suspension apart it's obviously time to
install stiffer, lower springs.

 

The question of the day is which springs will give me a little drop (about
1", in view of NY roads) and perform well with the Koni Sports?  The patient
is the '95 S6 sedan.  The usual candidates are obviously the various flavors
of H&R or Eibach.  Anything else out there?  What are the best deals around
now?

 

BTW, with just the RS2 turbo, the butt-o-meter indicates the MTM 1+ set up
has gotten better due to the fact the K26 turbo doesn't run out of steam
above 5000 rpm and continues to pull.  I now am salivating on how things
will feel when software and injectors are installed.
