Maybe they would let Paul test drive it around the block?

My brother is looking at an M5 that currently resides at Autohaus.
He lives outside of Philly and is interested in having an independent
have a
look at it before he goes up for a final visual inspection. If anybody
can
recommend a good wrench in the area please let me know. Hopefully the
"fraternity" is large enough in that area that a true competitor of
Autohaus
can be found.
If you have any recommendations please let me know off-list. Thank you
for
your indulgence.
Regards,
Mark>>>
Heh, funny, before I read what you wrote I sat here wondering, gee,
should I offer to go down there on buyers behalf and drive it over to
nearest indy wrench for PDI? Whattaguy I'd be huh? Course, Ferris
Bueller moments would be had, etc. so I quickly abandoned the thought -
only to then read your post.
Still haven't driven an E39 ///M5, been on the todo list fersure.
Hmmmm. No, no, no time for that right now. Tho I *am* making time to
go fingerbang an SLR our local MB stealer has, booked for 4/14. No
drive, but who cares. It's an SLR and I get to make vroomvrooom noises
IN it and soil the upholstery accordingly.
Mark, New Country Motors is a reputable stealer (if there is such thing)
up here in Hartford (Weston Street), tech wise. To the extent where
they'll install aftermarket mods for you and ensure warranty (to an
extent), few friends BTDT. Could always try them for a PDI?
Good luck. Autohaus is a well known stealer, ahem, dealer, I suppose.
Never heard bad, my 2.3-16 was from there when it was new.
