[s-cars] 3071 turbo & Pastore RS2 code question

Gents,
I will agree with Dave. I don't like pinging. I don't want to modulate my
right foot either. I had MTM+1 and it would ping - wasn't a happy camper. I
went RS2 with Mihnea and no more pinging. I did lose about 1.5 to 2 mpg.
However, when I drove thru Wisconsin and got a tank of 93 I got an additional
50 miles to that tank. Must be the ethanol in Chicago.
Boost on,

Emre: You must have missed the fact that we run 94 Chevron with
techron already in it. Plus we have relatively cool weather. All reasons
why we shouldn't be pinging on "pastore" software that was sold as plug
and play, no issues software. Rather than ruin my engine with the
pinging I was "dreaming", I switched to MRC software. Rich, yes. Pinging,
no. Sean D.'s Dahlback (MTM) software makes a few more ponies but the
cost of the software was very high (US$900 IIRC).

Dave,
No one is saying you and your cronies aren't pinging, we are saying
that not EVERYONE pings with that software. Maybe it's your crappy
Canukistanian gas?
Remember, MRC software runs VERY rich, so pinging would be a non-issue
with that software, but so would a loss of power. I want to go UP the
slippery slope, not DOWN.
