I'm looking at buying a corded electric impact wrench (I do not have a
compressor) to do work in the garage. I'm considering a Milwaukee 9070
or 9072, 300 ft-lbs torque, lightweight (6 lbs).

Would this be adequate for most automotive work?

Also, what is the difference between a "Pin/Detent Socket Retainer" and
"hog ring socket retainer", which is better?

I'm a bit of newbie when it comes to impact wrenches.
