Taka. Can't say. Haven't driven the 4.4 litr version. It's no torque monster like the Diesel Tourag, but it does get up and go well for it's size.

Ingo-
Are you saying that it drives better than an X5? Which model?
I got to drive an X5 4.4 pretty hard and it definitely sets a very high standard for SUVs. The Porsche Cayenne S and Turbo are even better. The Infiniti FX 35/45 are about the equal of the X5 (in some ways better, some ways worse- like cargo space) and slightly below in terms of feel to the Cayenne IMO.
If the Q7 is better than the X5, I definitely have to drive one.

Lemme tell you, guys. I just got to ride in one last night and all I can
say is...if I had a BMW X5 it'd be "Adios!" -It's that good. No wallowy
ride, keyless pushbutton ignition start/stop and the overlay backup display
is so cool you could tear around parking lots with cones/cars all day in
reverse! And it turns on a dime with those 275 45 20 inch tires :-) Did I
mention how mean it sounds with that 350 hp V8?
