Hi Sean,
Welcome to the club.
Your failure to lock problem could very well be a leak in the vacuum system.
The pump is under the rear passenger seat, next to the battery wrapped in
grey foam. The pump appears to be functioning but not driving the actuator.
Look for leaks in the hoses in the door then work your way back.
Good luck
Tony

I just bought a 95.5 S6 and got it home tonight. When I parked the car and
tried to lock the door with the key, it would not lock. I can hear the pump
try to activate but it does not lock the doors. This is a problem, being
that the PO did not have the keyless entry FOB. The trunk lock works fine,
so I can lock and unlock the car until I get a replacement FOB. Anybody
ever have the same problem?
Thanks,
Sean Upchurch
