Hmmm...I don't usually jump into these forays because I really don't care
what dyno numbers say...it's all about the timeslip...but let's ponder this
for a second from the 50k foot level.
Let's just say that a stock 2.7T pushes the same 7 psi (it's actually closer
to 9 but this should take out any inefficiencies due to hap's superior
intercooler, etc.) So the claim would be that the new 2.5 Hap has is
approx. 33% more efficient than the newer 2.7T (307HP/250HP * 2.7 / 2.5 =
1.33). Seems like that's a bunch. My guess is that it has something to do
with altitude correction. I bet the raw input to the dyno would not go up
by the 18ish percent correction factor at sea level. That's based on my
experiments of running the same exact S4 at altitude and at sea level in the
1/4 mile.
The 33% number just doesn't make sense to the engineer in me. Nevertheless,
the numbers are an apple to apple comparison on the same dyno at the same
altitude which means Hap's car is going to be a true beast when it gets
boosted up, no matter what the 3 digit output from the dyno is.

What are we going to do with you. Dave Dawson proved beyond any REASONABLE
doubt that our Coloreado dyno numbahs are valid by his Drag Strip slips. End
of
story. Or is it???
Hap, wit dakine numbahs up foh grabs not in Evahboost, Maguire
