Yep, the A3 was as disappointing as the RS4 was fun!  My regular  car

the A3 3.2 as well as try out DSG.  The added incentive  was that my R

dealer gave me a 2006 Passat 2.0T with  Tiptronic.  I hated the  
Tiptronic so I was really hoping the  DSG would be fun.






Too bad all of you drove the 3.2 A3. The 2.0 DSG car is far more  fun. When 
pushed to the limit that might change due to front drive,  but the lighter 
front weight and extremely quick DSG make it really  fun to toss around.
I thought the DSG TT was disappointing by comparison. Not sure why the  DSG 
mating to 3.2 doesn't behave the same as the 2.0 but that combination just  
doesn't work as well. The computer programing for the 2.0T shifts is spot  on.
