Well said. It appears the latest version benefits some deuglification
deBangleization (much needed across their entire line - the 750iL now
almost looks acceptable as result). The rear of the Z4 looks almost
cool now, front almost grows on you as well. Almost. But, a good
runner yes! Doubt need any ///M version, the out of box pedestrian
cars are enough to invoke a broad smile (ala broad drift).
Kinda funny about BMW and me in general... I commented while there
yest. how I had not been to the new dealership here in ages. Then it
dawned on my WHY: I've *vowed* to never be associated with *any*
Bangled f'n abortion. Ftards. They don't exist to me while he's there,
screw all of it. Ultimate Driving Machines still maybe, but ultimate
gizmo laden hideously fugly POS's regardless. Can't change ugly. The
750iL was so dynamically impressive both Bob & I could 'feel' it as such
from me in passenger and Bob cross legged stretched out in the back
whilst Jimmmaaay flogged away. That is a remarkable ability. However,
Bob & I quickly became overly distracted from the bedroom furniture
grade forest of wood they use along the dash, and the literal "Chest 'O
Drawers" in the center stack. No joke!

Like I said before, the Z4 M Coupe is the most interesting car I saw at
the NY Auto Show this year.
That is a car I'd get from BMW, even though it's got the uglified Bangle
styling.
Even with the 220hp old 3.0L engine, the Z4 has got serious legs- I was
rather surprised at the acceleration
capability, following one in the STi. Unfortunately, the STi really runs
out of gearing at about 120.... either that,
or the drag from the huge wing and hood scoop start really slowing the
car down.
The reports of the Z4 Coupe's performance are such that the Porsche
Cayman might be in some serious
trouble when the Z4 M is out- the 'Ring lap times attest to that.
