The limits of the DSG are probably largely unproven as of yet. TDIclub.com has very few incidents of tweeked DSG TDI's,let alone any explosions. With all those extra pieces inside, I'm leary of them to begin with. They'll probably hold together fine until a month after the warranty expires, then look out! At least the 5 speed is nothing new. My TDI is currently around 270 ft-#, enough to break the tires loose in second gear. As long as those gearboxes aren't shocked (speed shifting w/o lifting) they'll tolerate allot more.

I'm pretty sure the torque limit of the transverse DSG is pretty low- like 250 ft-lbs. or 300.
A chipped diesel is going to put out massive torque, no?
There are only two Audis using DSG- the A3 and the TT 3.2 .
