[s-cars] Spokane HOH power steering hose woes

Mike-
I had a big problem with the pump to PS rack hose using an aftermarket hose
from
Worldpac. The hose failed in less than 1 year. My mechanic (who installed
the hose)
warranteed the hose and got me a genuine Audi hose from the dealership for
just the difference
in cost between aftermarket and Audi, which was something like $40.

The Audi hose was fine a good 4 years after the fact, don't know how it is
now because I
don't have the car any longer, the CO mafia can keep an eye out for a
black/black 200q
w/ V8 tails and Porsche brakes.

There's no way that I'd even bother with a used hose for that application-
way too much pressure.
That hose is a major PITA to replace (I couldn't do it myself, that's why I
had my mechanic do it-
I have no idea how he fit his hands in there- actually now that I remember,
his brother had to do
it because he has smaller hands and smaller arms).

The other thing about using the Audi part is that there are no issues with
strange noises or anything.
