[s-cars] Fun with hatch wiring

BTDT on a few doors on a few Audis. I usually splice twice, once inside the
door, once inside the body. In between, I use RC/Car wires with silicone
insulation. They're a bit expensive but very flexible. If you decide to go
this route, make sure the insulation do not rub on any metal edge as the
silicone insulation is as fragile as it's flexible.

Objet : [s-cars] Fun with hatch wiring

Greetings sheads

This weekend I am looking forward to happy happy fun re-wiring the wad of
wires heading into the hatch on my 95 Avant. Many are broken and frayed.

There is not much room for bulky splices. Im hoping I can gather up some
wire slack from inside the hatch but im not sure. Im also concerned about a
splice surviving where a virgin wire could not. I think id rather be flying
a kite or something but the wife is really tired of the car self locking
whenever the hatch is closed. Damn car

Has anybody any wisdom to share?

Thanks - Aaron
