Can't find the article, but ..... not to be too technical, IIRC, the article
claims BMW actually ran, and won with a diesel at Le Mans some 15 or so
years ago.  

Granted, it wasn't in the, whatever the designations/classes might have been
then, top "LMP1" group.  But it was claimed to be a diesel, and it was said
to have won in its class. ....

Can anyone else verify this pagan rumor?  BMW diesel wins at Le Mans?

But hey, when did the press ever get anything wrong?
