Exactly true Taka, and I am normally of that verysame philosophy on
oils. But after hearing of recent motors being built to such tolerances
to require an ohsospecific viscosity I began to at least try thinking
more rationally. That as you know is quite hard for me.

Interesting bit on der //S8 oil, was just wundring what I'll be putting
in next week. 0W30 eh? Rotella make that grade? Have to be 0W? See,
there I go trying to be rational again - seems so contrived.

Tx.

Paul-
If you can afford the flip cars as often as your buddy, I don't think it
really matters whether
he is using "superduper special synthetic liquid gold formulated for 28k
rpm 35000 hp engines" or not. The GT2 engine isn't going to break in a
few years because he's using M1 5W30, which isn't all that bad.

If you want to read pages upon pages of people talking about oil, go
visit bobistheoilguy.com's forums. German Castrol this, Pennzoil
Platinum that, Mobil 1, etc.

As a recommendation, you might want to see if you can find Castrol
Syntec 0W30 "Made in Germany" for your //S8.
