interesting food for the internet, but not completely scientific. he
did not stress both systems to failure.
I have the BIRA hats with the 993TT rotors on our 95.5 Avant and have
had them installed now for 3 years. I have done multiple track days on
them - no problem. Seattle is not known for it's perfect pavement -
again no problems.
The _only_ problem I ever experienced with this setup is vibration.
That was solved by having them retrued after breakin. Because the
rotors and hats were machined at different times to different
reference points, it's darned near impossible to make them perfect.
Having them refaced together makes them perfect.
