$16 later, it's done.  PB blaster and the offset crowfoot-style socket from 
Advance Auto ($9) did the trick.  Not sure if the PB blaster was entirely 
necessary, but it's done nonetheless.

Thanks for everyone's help.

We'll see later today if the light comes on during driving like it was 
before, and if the stumble between low speed shifts is gone.
