The engine is crammed in there, service issues with the S6 are the same
as the A6 4.2- very tight access makes labor rates quite expensive for a lot
of stuff.

Timing belt job should be well north of $1000, as the $1k mark is easily
surpassed
by the A4 1.8T, 2.8 and A6 2.8.
