Sean,
Are you referring to the pump, which is v94, wrapped in grey foam next to
battery. The Canadian S6 for 1996 only shows J276 which I'm assuming has
something to do with the wireless remotes. 95s still had the infra-red
remotes with sensors on the B pillars. 97 had a different wireless receiver
again, compatible with the switchblades.
So, still at a loss as to what and/or where J276 Central Locking System
Control Module (Remote Control) is.

On my 1997, its located under the rear seat on the passenger side, just
beside the battery.
You need to remove the battery to get at it.
