Hey all,
Yes another one goes on the block. My 1994,
Green/Black S4 with 169K miles needs to be sold. As
have most of you there have been a long list of parts
replaced.
I work at an Audi dealer and nearly all the replaced
parts are OE. The rear calipers and windshield are the
two exceptions that come to mind. Some of those
replaced parts are.......
In '06 the windshield, t-belt and pump and all rollers
etc including the cogged pulley on the crank as I hear
some are shearing the keyway off. After-run pump. CPS
in '05. Clutch master cylinder and one POS, the other
was replaced in '05.
In previous years (I've owned it 4) both front outer
CV boots, RF wheel bearing, both E-brake cables and
rear calipers. A complete new OE driveshaft. Interior
blower motor. O2 sensor. Turbo inlet to MAF hose.
There must be more. There always is isn't there.
Car has a few nice mods......
MTM 1+ (Pastore) chip set, Samcos under the hood.
Movit/Porsche 993TT Big Black brake kit up front. Very
fresh front (Textar) pads.
Euro headlights
Eibach springs in '06 to replace the H&Rs I took out.
Revalved Bilstein Sports all around. I had the
compression bumped by 10% and the rebound by 30%.
This makes a big difference in how "bouncy" these cars
get with off the shelf dampers and springs, car is
tight.
ECS plates for Camber (-.75) and 2B plates for Caster
(was less than 1 degree, now over 2). This mod is
great. Caster adds stabilty and when you turn in the
outside tire gains camber for better turn in and more
grip.
At S'Fest '06 Bob Pastore told me my idea to do this
was the single best thing he had done to his car for
track duty.
17x8 ASA wheels. All true with ZERO curb rash.
235-45-17 Kumho Ultra HP All seasons with 70% left. I
know, all seasons? I have snows and I haven't been to
the track in ages. I wanted long wearing tires that
weren't too expensive. These do it.
Again, must be more. What doesn't work......
Two window switches don't light up, CD changer died.
Cruise control is intermittant.
The drivers seat left lower bolster has just now worn
through a very little bit.
Worst part of the car..... the paint is very dull.
Beyond wax and compound I'm told and I tried.
So I'm asking $6900. The car is in SW CT. I need to
take photos and will do so ASAP
This is a very solid tight car with several desirable
mods. Instead of getting a car that you want to put a
$2k brake set on, add 2K in paint to this one. Then
it doesn't have to be green anymore either!!
