[s-cars] sold the S4

I couldn't agree more with Calvin. And as Tom M. just pointed out, it is by
far the 'best of everything' car out there. Despite some of the little
issues that seem to come with these cars, my '92 S4 could easliy be
described as very reliable. Best bang for the buck, especially these days.
Furthermore, I did just what Bob F. so eloquently stated not to do in his
perfect analogy of these cars. I "modified" her just the way I wanted to.
But then I never stuck around to enjoy the benefits of her boob and butt
job:-) I don't know about you guys but it seems I do the same thing with
all the Audi's I own. As time goes on, I think to myself, "If I just get the
big reds I'll keep the car forever". Then after the thrill of this wears
off, I justify it again by saying, "If I just get that new FMIC, I'll keep
this car forever", all the while I'm driving it less and less. And so on and
so on..... Slippery slope indeed!
Some of the mods were done just so that I could justify keeping it as long
as I did. And believe me, if I didn't have fun "company" cars to drive, I
would still be driving it and enjoying it every single day.
So, to all of you who have read all these sad posts of people jumping ship,
DO NOT FOLLOW US!
You are driving one of the best cars ever produced by Audi. I already miss
mine, maybe I'll be one of the many who comes back to UrS4 ownership before
too long:-)

.....As well, my car probably hasn't looked as good for 10 years or
so. I was thinking, if I was to spend a bundle on my wife to get her
in terrific shape: a boob and butt job, tummy tuck, face lift, and
maybe a slight mod of one of those gold tongue studs (equivalent to a
chip?), would it make a hell of a lot of sense if I didn't stick
around to enjoy it? So I've come to my senses, to hell with the
garage space problem, I'm keeping my car, and my Audi friends, at
least for now. Thanks for the advice from those who provided it.
Still here,
Bob......
That is the best "I'ma gonna keep my car" analogy I have ever heard.
Some other, recent S-car deserters here obviously have not yet ponied
up for the wife's "enhancements", and therefore could not make this
correlation.
