Dave-
The Bang and Olufsen stereo is something like a $6.5k upgrade. Seriously
good stereo system, was reviewed as "best OEM car stereo" by one of the car
mags recently and I've heard secondhand that it lives up to the hype.
The standard stereo is "no highs, no lows, Blowse," which actually isn't all
that bad in the latest models.
The tweeters come out of the dash like little alloy capsules, it's cool. :-)
Too bad Audi doesn't offer even a DSG option with this car- a manual
transmission would make this a serious sports sedan, like the M5.
I guess they want to make a big orient express type cruiser, like the big
Mercs.
Lexus LS460 w/ TOM'S hardware upgrades (exhaust, air suspension
recalibration, etc.) would be my choice in a slushbox cruiser- serious
brakes, serious engine finally and it parks itself. :-) Oh, and $20-30k less
money.
