[s-cars] S6 stereo upgrade: line output converter

Listers,

I have installed a new Alpine head unit stereo in my 95 S6 and have retained the stock Bose amplified speaker system. I am aware of the requirement for a line output converter with gain controls to make the volume function appropriately. I know many of you have upgraded your stereos, can anyone recommend a specific model for the converter? 

I checked with Crutchfield and their only two models won't work (since I want RCA to line-level and not the other way around).
