[s-cars] Battery Drain

I don't know about a brand new battery, but I can tell you when I let my
Firbird sit for months over the winter the battery will go dead, even with
the cable disconnected.  Batteries will self-discharge....but I don't know
how long a brand new one should last.

Sounds to me like a bad battery and no there wouldn't be any drain as it's
not connected.
