[s-cars] Intermittent cutout

Hi Y'all,

Car: RS2ed urS6

Coming home from a birthday party for an old friend this afternoon 
and running at about 50 mph in fifth gear the engine just cut 
out.  Give it more fuel - nothing.  Oh shit.  I'm in some traffic and 
not near anything resembling a good place to stop by the side of the 
road.  Declutched and shifted into 4th and let clutch back out and 
the engine fired and ran smoothly after that except about 3-4 more 
times (in 30 miles) the engine briefly cutout and then restarted 
almost instantly.  The tach did not drop to zero but continued to 
show engine rpms even with the engine dead.

Could a plugged kitty cause this behavior?  Doesn't seem likely to me 
but...  ????
