The sudden stop must have been a coincidence, thanks for your suggestions
to simply run the diagnostic procedure and not guess.

Problem turned out to be a faulty POS, and I was able to rewire to use the
redundent circuit with the procedure on the sjm site, and we're running
fine.

I'm left with one question:  Why did I smell sulfer in the exhaust instead
of fuel?
