Bill,

I believe that was Bob Saas's (Chef Bob) project. I talked to him briefly at the 'fest. His boss has a machine shop at work (winery) because he is big into P-cars I think, and the guys in the shop fabbed up the brackets. He is trying to figure out the E-brake problem. He is thinking about using a solenoid to activate the piston, but I think he said he was trying to see if that would kill the battery. I believe he is planning on using an A8 or S8 master cylinder.

Not knowing much these things, I had sent him an e-mail after the fest to see if one could retain the stock caliper in the same position just to make use of the existing E-brake cables, and have a different bracket fabbed that would hold the new caliper on the trailing/rear side of the disc. I have not heard back from him and don't know if he lurks on this list. I guess that adds weight and probably all sorts of other issues but maybe the E-brake might still work.

What did Hap end up doing for the E-brake?

Ps I saw the rear brake kit at the fest, but who can tell me something
about it?
