Au contraire my Montrealian friend! Der replacement decision trigger
will likely be pulled today, and der UrS will be very much for sale.
I'll get an ad to the classifieds by next week hopefully. Tell your
friends 8-). Hey, least you can tell them it hung with an E60 ///M5 -
power button off heh heh.
Glad you enjoyed flogging it though, it is set up pretty nicely - I
think so at least. One of ? Mihnea live-tuned 6spd K24's in the states
I'd say, likely the only. Car frickin rips! Gotta shoot the nose ASAP
tho, rash is pretty sad.

Sounds to me like someone is having 2nd thoughts (maybe all the way up
to 6 speed) about selling ;-))

2 things Feico...
1) Not really an overestimate when you can see and smell the
acceleration out the pipes...
2) I ran my buddy in his 540i 6spd (and that was when I was still
running my MTM 1ping+ software)... dead even from a rolling start until
I hit 6th and then I started crawling away from him...
Again, I am not delusional to suggest my car's faster. Just a good
example of a well driven car against a poorly driven more powerful car
and there not being the differential one would expect - that's all.
As Taka noted, he obviously didn't know how to shift / drive - this is
always easily evidenced to me when I see such poor lane choices /
decisions / actions like this yutz was doing. Driving style was easily
visible - sucky. Like I said his turban was obviously wound too
tightly. And as Bruce noted, likely the power button not depressed - my
best guess is he was still in break in (early power button usage & RPM's
monitored by ECU - can void warranty).
Regardless, I was daaaaamn impressed at my poor little beater. It
certainly is one of the stronger K24'd ones I've driven. And I sure got
repeated chuckles in humbling the schlep in his 90k car; especially in
not bothering going by him, just sitting back, hanging admirably... it
passes the time it does...

Before I start, I'm not claiming my K24'd UrS is faster than a
500hp V10
///M5. However, this was a most interesting data point. I was
not
impressed.
Although I would wish it was the case ...
After watching Hanz Stuk (spelling unknown) accelerate from 120 to 193
MPH on the autobahn in a V10 M6 ... I think you may be overestimating
his foot position.
A late model 540i will be tough to beat with a 3.0 bar K24 ... at least
my car struggled to stay with one before I went to the RS2 ... now I
loose off the line until I hit 30 then I play catch-up till about 80 and
then we run out of room (91 octane). Where is that sequential turbo!
Best regards,
Feico van der Laan
