[s-cars] Diagnosing 1.8t coil pack failures

I'm currently putting about 1600 miles per week on the car. I keep 2 spare coils in the trunk, based on the feedback from everyone else. I think the current coils "know" that I have spares.

BTW, I don't know how I can keep up the good work. I just installed according to that nice wiring diagram you provided, and it has been a no-brainer ever since.

I know you've been asking for pics. Since I am home right now, I'll snap a few tomorrow, before I head out for the next trip.

Can't disagree. I just wanted to find out what a total coil pack
failure felt like (lumpy and no power). Along the way (last two weeks
or so), I was getting big time missing under boost but fine just
toodling around.

Dave, your experience has been the best yet, longest miles under the
most extreme conditions. Keep up the good work. ;>)
