Baloney-

Thanks for the //sentiments & //support!

So far der beast is most impressive and ohsofun. The shrill of 40V &
4.2L running WOT thru 5 gears to 7k and maaaajor triple digits is
verrrrrrry addictive. Will be interesting to see how pisspoorly my
mileage goes. So far appear to be averaging an ahem 13mpg 8-\.

As you said, so easy to drive. I'm going to experiment pulling the
Servotronic relay tonight and see how I likey. Otherwise, I'm not even
tempted to mod it (much). Will likely look into some spacers as the
48mm offset on der Avus renders them rather stuffed wayway inboard,
thinking 15mm we'll see. Windows already tinted so one less thing I's
gots to do's. Was thinking maybe look into exhaust options (what little
may exist), but so far the note is quite pleasing - hafta see how long
that lasts or not. Otherwise, whereas I always mount up a euro tag up
front as soon as I get any car... I went to do that the first night and
noted the euro filler panel unmolested by a DOT bracket and how purty
that looked - may just leave it.

These seats are like _SEX_... I pulled into garage here today and
didn't want to get out! And to quote Edwerido Troll Walsh, the ambient
red glow under the mirror and behind door handles is ohsotits. Me
likey! Double paned glass - who knew? I feel like some sort of Arabian
Oil Tycoon whilst piloting - which I may need to become @ 13mpg - d'oh.

I think I can get past the lack of turbo punch... not like 317lb/ft
torque at a mere 3,400 is anything to scoff at. It's sufficient, just
not grotesque. Stay tooned...

preference... blow up at WOT"!!!!! K.

Pk,
Congratulations on the best choice available given your three car seat
configurization requirement. (OGOLON;) And since der A8 is constructed
from
recycled beer kegs you should feel right at home.
I delivered my wife an 00 A8 almost three years ago now and she only
appreciates it after driving some other car and then returning to the
power
and comfort of the 8. Her favourite feature is the added in Nav+
retrofit.
It is oh so too ez to cruise at 90+ as I had once tried to explain the
officer friendly in Indiana... yes I seem to have issues whenst passing
thru
that fine red state (or is it a blue state?)
I have oft thought to upgrade her to the S but the old A has plenty of
power
for her and all the features she could ever need. No mods required and
few
available anyhoo. This can be a good thing.
I love the car myself as it is way more refined than the urS IMHO and so
easy to drive.
It will be interesting to follow your withdrawal from the aforestated
"punch" of der turbo. The urS is more wild beast whilst the A/S8 never
breaks a sweat.. at least until you had gotten hold of one.
Now might be an appropriate time to revisit Ronin as S8 salesman with
his
"boss." Bwahaha. Pardon.

Everyone's next car choice will be interesting to follow given that the
urS's will soon either fall apart or my preference... blow up at WOT.
