[s-cars] Pulled over for Tinting!?!?

It's the front side windows that got you, no doubt. The CA Vehicle Code does
not allow tinting of the windshield or front side windows:

The good news is, that you obviously live in a low crime area, where the
police have time to pull cars over for illegal tinting. You received a
fix-it ticket. So long as you correct the problem and get a sign off from an
officer and mail it in, there is no fine. You can get any peace officer to
sign off. I've been popped for no front plate or missing license plate
sticker (after someone stole it) a few times in the past. Usually, it's
quickest to stop by a Highway Patrol office and have them verify, but you
can ask an officer on the street, in the donut shop parking lot, or
whatever. Last time, my wife asked a police officer parked on the street to
sign off, the officer didn't even get out of his car to check.
