[s-cars] Looking at an 1995 S6 avant today ...advice on what to look out for?

Gents:

Looking at a northeast US 1995 S6 avant today in the "highly 
desirable" green/ecru (LOL) combination.

I'm not enamoured with the interior color, but the car is going to be 
a family hauler, and the fact that a lighter color interior reflects 
heat better than a dark one may offset the obvious challenge in 
keeping a very light interior clean with 4 & 7 year old boys in it.

Car has high miles (>200k), no mods,  but a very long list of 
maintenance work done in the last 50K miles ( suspension, brakes, TB, 
sensors, switches, yadda yadda.)

Other than coil packs, POS, cam position sensors, are there other 
gotchas that I should look out for ( other than the obvious road rash 
from the miles on the body) ???  How does one easily test the Climate 
Control for error codes?

I plan on bringing my VAGCOM...

 From my sig, you can tell that my experience is with the type 89s 
and late 44s, so distributer-less ignition is something new to me.
