Not a dingus at all as that thing is a son-of-a-__________ to see.  Even
after you know where it is you will have to look around a bit to see it the
next time you go there.  To add to Igor's description, on the driver's side
go about 4 inches aft from the driveshaft and follow that "line" around and
up the housing.  You will soon run into the kinked line and should see the
bleeder valve within 1 or 2 inches.

Eric,
It's by the kink in the hard line to the slave, covered by the rubber 
cap. Very difficult to reach. I use a slightly bent box end 11m wrench. 
Sometimes I really love those Chinese-made wrenches.
