Brian,
I just put a new one on my car the other day to cure the same problem. I
hate to say it, but the damn check engine light still comes on under steady
light throttle. The part numbers you list are the same that I have on my 92
S4. the top one is the Bosch #, the bottom is the Audi #. I was concerned
that at 220K and the massive amount of throttle that I use, the sensor was
wearing out and would leave me stuck somewhere. Maybe it just needed an
adjustment?
I would be interested to hear about other experiences people may have had
with this item.
Jack

hey listers,
anyone know if our throttle sensors are interchangable between any other
models?
i got a flash of the check lamp and an 'intermittent' DTC for my TPS.
also, pardon my extensive title, but for what better than to search it
myself in the future ay.
part # 's would be great soo:
0 280 120 431
078 133 154
with the 078 i might have luck checking tomorrow at work, but was hoping
someones been through it already.
i could also kick myself for leaving it on the IM i sold someone, ,, musta
been in an ire mood that day.
one more, ,,de-oxit'ing it helped none & the MM conforms.
thanks, //brian
