[s-cars] Detonation, HELP... (on the road)

I'm a lurker here, but when you said it detonates in neutral when you rev
it, that certainly is odd.  It shouldn't detonate unless it's under load.
Now, if you're stompimg on the throttle in neutral and it pings for a second
then stops and revs, that sounds like too much timing advance for whatever
reason.  If you're simply holding it at say, 4000 rpm and it does it, well
that sounds more like a mechanical problem.

I don't have many pearls of wisdom save one item. I'd pull your plugs and
see
what's going on with them. You may some with bad tips that are adding to or
possibly causing the problem. I was remembering your previous tip challenge.
