Well, those that didn't make it really missed a great day. Your loss.

Couldn't have been better. Clear skies. Mid-70's. Dry roads (mostly).

 Cold Beer and excellent brats.

We started off at Addict Motorsports Design in Woodinville Washington
where Jason Petek and his partner Joe hosted and gave us a tour of
their
shop. They have come up with some pretty nice stuff: Front strut
mounts to rival or exceed 2Bennets, urethane suspension bushings for
the
front and rear subframes, modified control arms with sperical bearng,

plug and play rear coil-over set-up with both compression and rebound
adjustment (one top, one bottom) and an oil breather catch can. I
think
there is more but I got lost looking at Joe's massively turbo'd 93
(lovely
Emerald on Ecru sleeper) that has dyno'd at 450 hp at the wheels (using

1.8t coil packs by the way).

After about an hour at AMD, we headed off to Leavenworth via Duvall,
Highway 202 and then the really fun Ben Howard Road (better than
Chuckanut Drive for those that know that one) to Sultan (thanks for
that,
Nic Bode). At Sultan we picked up a couple of stray S-cars that had
missed the AMD meet-up. The drive from Sultan to Stevens Pass and
then
onto Leavenworth was pretty quick and fun. Dragged a bit at the end
when Mr. Motorhome wouldn't pull over (as they are supposed to) to let

us by. Oh, well, the scenary with the mountains, the river and the
trees
(the deciduous trees were turning colors) was pretty fantastic and it
was
easy to suffer through.

Once at Leavenworth, we found parking amidst the "Autumn Colors"
festival crowd at the primary school (same as last year) and made our
way
to our favourite beer and brats patio. "Big Bob" was the winner Brat.

Beers were plentiful by variety and cold. Thanks to Eric and Nic for
buying
 me cold ones.

At the end, two guys (Eric and Blake) headed east to Pullman (go
Cougars) Washington and two (Nic and Chris) headed for Hwy 97 and the
newly paved Blewitt Pass (I was over it in the summer - excellent).
Some
day, we might even go over Old Blewitt pass as a group <Ned?>.

Other than getting more people out, I don't know how we could improve
 on the drive next year.
