Forrest;
I've seen this following a clapped out Chrysler running on 7 cylinders.
Red-hot sparks were shooting out the tailpipe. I managed to signal the
driver to pull over and as we stood there beside his ride molten metal was
dripping under the car and splashing on the road. He'd managed to melt down
the cat with all the raw fuel pouring into it and the sparks were hot
catalyst pellets exiting the tailpipe. The girl in the back seat said she
thought the floor was getting kinda hot.
Hope this isn't your problem, but if you had the muffler and tailpipe
glowing red hot there's a good chance it is. The exhaust shouldn't be red
hot that far downstream of the turbo. You may be running rich and fueling
the cat, which will happily turn all that fuel into heat.

this was a private closed raod
playing for awhile at low gears pulling hard then took it up to 130, saw
sparks in the rear view mirror, let off gas coasted down to 70 and still was
seeing sparks a little bit, pull off road and look at muffler, tail pipes
were faintly glowing inside. I've never seen this happen before (never
looked before, but never seen sparks before)
turbo and manifold glowing too, but not very bright.
no noises of any kind, back on road everything seems fine, pulls normal.
the road was kinda bumpey and I do not recall the exhaust hitting the road
at all and even coasting to lower speeds still saw sparks coming out.
MTM 1+ and Vmap from Pastore and Stromung turbo back without cats,
wastegate turned down 4 turns.
why was I seeing sparks, is there an issue here.
freaking out Forrest afraid to drive car:(
