[s-cars] Subject: So my car is burning oil?

1) Valve seals...about WHAT DOES THAT COST? and how likely is it that I am
having valve issues? Are there tests to see if there is leakage??


My situation and car was a bit different, but a 10v '87 TQA that I used to
own would smoke on start up. A valve job cured it - and a blow head gasket
gave me reason to pull the head! ;-)

The valve job was in the neighborhood of $300. An Scar will be slightly more
expensive, others can chime in. Not sure about tests, but the smoke was most
present when the car was cold, in the winter.
