14 to 15 sounds low to me....Even stick my car would pull 17-19 at sea level
and >20 here at altitude.

Thanks for all the info, folks. I just finished installing a VDO boost
gauge in a cup directly in front of the instrument cluster between the fuel
gauge and clock. I like that it's easily readable, but it's tough to do a
clean install there, IMO.
Hindsight, I would probably go with a pillar mount.
I've done easier gauge installs before, but it's done now, and showing about
14-15psi at full throttle. I falls off towards 10psi near redline, but I
assume that's normal on my unmodified car. I sure would like to see it
swing towards 25 one of these days.
I ended up running copper tubing from the ECU and coupled to nylon tubing
just a couple inches before the gauge. I also tapped into the ashtray bulb
for illumination. This was my first time removing any part of the dash, and
I'm glad I know how to get back in there now...
