[s-cars] was: dead pig, now: fuel pump?

Thanks to all for the responses… and… I wonder.

For some time, I’ve had a mysterious clunking from the rear and I wonder if
it’s conceivable for the fuel pump to have broken loose… as to have been
just floating around in there???  and thus my current predicament.

Should I start by cracking  a fuel line to check for pressure?  I would
think if it was fuel pump that the car would sputter a bit before cutting
completely out?

Dunno.
