[s-cars] "The Aluminum Crowd" / Current UrS prices

'Cause I HAVE an S car. The fun of the 1.8t is that it is 500ish lbs lighter, has a "real" suspension, and is quite agile.
A 440 whp UrS could be bested by a 360ish whp A4. I really enjoy a 12 second daily driver... and that should be easy to achieve in the A4 1.8t platform.

I thought we were talking about 440+ whp UrS type ridiculous power! You'll need the increased displacement to do that.
I know Rod's car was 2.0L and hitting 11s at Englishtown. Maybe below that.

Not even. I've ridden in a Dahlback 360 hp 1.8t conversion car. No internals need be modified. Nutty, violent fast. Not unlike an RS2's URS above 3k rpm. This hits faster!

Punch the motor out to 2.0 or 2.1L, install larger turbo, injectors, FMIC, etc. Rod Haney was doing fine with
his, saw his car at Waterfest a couple times.

Yep... cheap thrills. I bought mine from a fellow CO Audi geek... a well maintained sport equipped A4 1.8tq. I threw on a Koni coilover kit and some 18x8's. It already was chipped. It isn't boring in the power department, but after numerous years with the pumped up UrS as the daily driver, it leaves you wanting more.
