Having both built and driven (street/track) a bunch of quattros over the
years, my favorite of the modern cars is the A4 v6 5v with supercharger,
followed closely with the k04 equipped (MTM or Dahlbach) 1.8t2/0 setups.

The guy with the SC put coil overs in the A4, and I thought it really took
away from the forgiving nature of the chassis. After 6 month or so, he came
back and put in the one I preferred, which was the neuspeed setup (springs and
bilstein sports - set at the highest perch), then went after all the heim
jointed supension bits and upper/lower F and rear stressbars and upgraded
swaybars. Without question the best handing quattro (with wheel travel) I've ever
driven. The SC is linear, and really allows effortless speed. It doesn't
feel fast, but at Blackhawk farms qclub event, it could put unreal speeds thru
turns.

Second was a couple 1.8t and 2.0 A4's I did with MTM and Dahlbach 300+ k04
upgrades. The hit at 2k as Dave notes, is just unreal, more so in the 2.0
car.

In the older cars, urq's are tie for my favorite, for their 944-like
forgiving nature. They aren't effortless to drive really fast, but the upper limit
is higher than most believe is possible (ahem).

The type 44 5ktq race car I service, takes them all at the track for the
ease of drive. Rorhl, Stuck, and direct to me at Brainerd 03 - Pobst, all are
on record that these big sedans just make driving fast really easy. Weight
(miss piggy - tm SJ) is the biggest issue to making this happen, and the 5ktq
is corner balanced and stripped to the max at 2700lbs wet. At 12psi 10vt,
Pobst hot laps with my butt in the right seat managed to take Steve Beddors
white SQ everywhere but on the straights. Pobst and I laughing our butts off at
the thought of it.

As I have the SC A4 back for service, driving it reminds me that proper
tuning of the chassis makes for a great street car that more than holds it's own
at the track. To equal a upgraded 1.8/2.0 driveline it really needs an
intercooler. And the SC chassis reminded me of exactly how crazy-man pizzo set up
that evo monster of his. Really high confidence in turns is as addicting as
torque IMO.

No, I meant what was the setup of the 360hp A4?

I know what the stock A4 is like, having owned a '99.5 1.8T. With H&R
coilovers and a good set of 17" wheels/tires,
it was pretty nice.... ITR, Evo, STI and E36/46/90 BMWs all drive better.
