[s-cars] OT: VW Cabrio info please

Sorry for the unrelated post, but I'm guessing some of you have some VW
experience.

I'm going to look at a 1999 VW Cabrio for my wife to drive daily instead of
her Expedition.  We love the Ford, but we can afford to buy and insure an
older 3rd car just by doubling the fuel mileage and keeping miles off the
Exped....  scary, but true.

Anybody on the list know these cars well enough to offer any advice on what
to look for?  If so, please contact me offlist.
