I used the hydraulic fluid to lubricate the o-ring nearly one year ago and
have no leaks but that uniqueness is what in part makes our urS so
//Special.  When you remove the plug be aware there is a spring loaded
plunger like thingamajig in there that might fire off to the nether regions
of your work area.

Nooooo....
Pentosin hydraulic fluid WON"T be sufficient for lubricating the O 
ring, it will still deform, crush and allow fluid to leak.
Use grease instead....
