all the benz requires is taillight actuation to shut the throttle off.
I get around it by:

- tap the brakes lightly with left foot to trigger DBW shutoff
- off the brakes
- back on the brakes with left foot to brake

all is done very quickly while your right foot is applying throttle as required.

let us know how/if it works on the Audi...
