[s-cars] What's up with the Scott and Eric show?

Okay, in the absence of Unka Bart, I'll invoke the greying old fart soap
box...
I've been associated with the 'lists' since the early days of the
original quattro list. It has been a real pleasure having Scott back
and getting into some good discussions about all sorts of things, even a
teeny tiny bit of Torsen. We disagree, we argue, we bitch, we
sulk...and we get back into the discussion the next round and everything
is cool. Eric, you have been able to contribute valuable information
AND opinions at times over the years, but one has to wonder when you
will outgrow the need to flame Scott and attribute such vitrolic
negatives about his opinions and experiences. Just because you've never
seen a B5 oil filter that got bit on the track doesn't mean that Scott
or any number of other people haven't on the less than optimal roads and
conditions that we all face at some time. But, that's just the one
point explosion of this episode. One also has to wonder whether we're
looking at 'roid rage, over-caffeination or some other 'induced' state
of mind when you go on like this. I personally would love to have the
added benefit to this list of your knowledge on that which you
specialize, because you have provided welcome information to me at times
over years past, but if it is at the cost of turmoil to the list and
driving Scott away (Did you really wondered why Scott tends to stay
away, Steve?) then I'd have to ask that you keep your comments off
line. Scott brings tremendous benefits to this list and has helped
countless members searching for answers, parts, directions, etc. over
the years and shown everyone what comraderie can be under widely varying
situations...which is why we continue to hold him in esteem and welcome
him at every opportunity. Your actions now invoke multiple "...go back
under the rock you crawled out of..." responses from list members who do
not want to see this go on again.
Take a bit of time to think about how you want to be thought of ten
years down the line, on this list or any other, and in life in general.
Hope to see some of your valuable comments in the future,
Steve
