Wow, I appreciate all the advice! You really are a great bunch of folks. The
brakes don't seem hard to me at all, and if I start the car back up quickly,
the brake light doesn't come on - or, at least, only for a very short time.
I will try the braking exercise that was recommended. The previous owner
upgraded to samco boost hoses all around, which I am glad for. If anyone

I definitely want to take care of all preventative maintenance issues before
upgrading anything. For right now, I just need to wash it and figure out if
my 'bomb' is broke/breaking. Thanks for all the help, I do enjoy driving
her, it's my favorite part of the day.
