[s-cars] valve cover

Hi Martin;

I've never had to remove oil from the wells, but my first approach would be
to shoot some brake parts cleaner in there to dilute the oil (before you
remove the plug) and sop it up with a rag or paper towel shoved down beside
the plug.

As for sealant, I use sealant on the half-round plugs and a bit at the
corners where the gasket goes over the front cam bearing. I leave the rest
of the gasket dry.

Subject: [s-cars] valve cover

Hello everyone,

   I just recently took off my valve cover gasket in order to change it
because it was beginning to leak and also that I was noticing some severe
misfiring of a cylinder. To my suprise there was also a lot of oil down the
4th spark plug well and other other wells also with the spark plug, plug
boot, and coil essential melted in number 4. I would appreciate any advice
on how the clean out the spark plug wells that have oil in them before I
replace the spark plugs and gasket. Also on the gasket, is anyone also
adding a sealant with the OEM gasket to it to prevent leaks? Thanks.

Martin
